Terminal A (Royal Caribbean)

8 miles from MIA15-25 minutes from MIAfrom $75 · from Miami hotels; $89 from MIA

Terminal A sits at the eastern end of PortMiami and is Royal Caribbean's flagship home in Miami, the glass building nicknamed the Crown of Miami. It handles the line's biggest Miami-based ships, and on turnaround days it processes thousands of guests before lunch. If you are sailing Royal Caribbean out of Miami, this is almost certainly your building, and getting dropped at the right frontage matters more here than anywhere else in the port.

Because Terminal A is the last stop on the port loop road, drivers unfamiliar with Dodge Island often release passengers at the first terminal they see, leaving them a long hot walk with luggage. Our drivers work this port daily and take you to Terminal A's dedicated drop-off lane, steps from the porters who take checked bags straight to the ship. Tell us your ship name when you book and we confirm the terminal against the port's daily schedule the evening before, so a last-minute berth change never becomes your problem.

Two practical notes from experience. First, Royal Caribbean check-in windows are enforced at Terminal A more strictly than most: arriving inside your selected slot genuinely speeds you through. Second, on disembarkation, walk-off guests clear the building as early as 7:15 a.m., so if you carry your own bags we can have a car staged for a 7:30 pickup and make even a 10:30 flight at MIA comfortable.
